In the past couple of weeks Polymer Compounders Limited were delighted to once again be able to attend the prestigious plastics industry awards.

A brilliant night was had by all of the senior management team that attended. This year the event was held at the London Hilton on Park Lane and was hosted by DIY SOS’s ‘Nick Knowles’ who presented the awards and announced all 15 winners.

The two categories this year that we we’re nominated for were ‘Best Technology Application of the Year’ & ‘Best Training & Development Programme of the Year’. Unfortunately we were not successful.

PCL were however given a special mention in the PIA honour roll that was issued after the awards took place.

Best Technology Application of the Year –“Polymer Compounders In collaboration with a local Tier 1, an innovative PC/ABS formulation was developed for an automotive instrument panel material able to pass automotive crash impact specifications, and that was easily processable, cost effective, paintable, recyclable and globally available”.

Best Training and Development Programme of the Year –“Polymer Compounders designed and implemented a company-wide training programme, designed to provide skills and to instil a sense of value and ownership in the workplace.”

At Polymer Compounders Limited we hope that with the continued effort that we have been putting into our products and innovations, we will be nominated for the 2018 awards. Who knows we may even be taking a trophy away with us next year………..
